James Clark School of Engineering, and the University of Maryland School of Medicine Department of Surgery, Division of Transplantation, the inaugural Mickey Dale Family Foundation symposium serves as a platform to highlight groundbreaking research, support emerging scholars, and advance the mission of improving transplantation outcomes through innovation and collaboration.

Founded in memory of Mickey Dale, the Mickey Dale Family Foundation (MDFF) is an organization committed to education, innovation, and life-saving research. Since 2000, the foundation has supported students and academic programs while investing in groundbreaking research to address the organ shortage crisis. Through partnerships with the University of Maryland, MDFF supports the next generation of researchers and advances innovative solutions in organ transplantation and regenerative medicine, working toward a future where no one waits for an organ.
